About The Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Spa & Leisure Manager to lead the operations of Eden Hall’s award-winning spa. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a premium spa offering, featuring 28 treatment rooms, thermal experiences, relaxation areas, and both indoor and outdoor pools.
As Spa & Leisure Manager, you will be responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience while driving commercial performance, leading a high-performing team, and maintaining the highest standards across all spa and leisure facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Team Management
- Leading, inspiring, and developing a large Spa and Leisure team, including therapists and operational staff
- Recruiting, training, and retaining talent in line with business needs and budgets
- Fostering a positive, professional, and high-performing team culture
- Managing performance, conducting appraisals, and handling employee relations in collaboration with The People Team
- Operations
- Overseeing the day-to-day running of the spa, ensuring outstanding guest service at all times
- Maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness, presentation, and safety across all areas
- Optimising treatment schedules and therapist utilisation to maximise revenue
- Working closely with Reservations, Maintenance, and Housekeeping teams to ensure seamless operations
- Acting on guest feedback to continuously improve service delivery
- Training & Development
- Designing and implementing structured training programmes for all team members
- Identifying development needs and ensuring completion of all mandatory training
- Maintaining accurate training records and monitoring effectiveness
- Finance & Commercial Performance
- Managing departmental budgets and delivering against financial targets
- Analysing performance data and producing monthly reports for senior management
- Driving revenue through effective scheduling, upselling, and retail performance
- Overseeing stock control, purchasing, and cost management
- Sales & Marketing
- Identifying opportunities to grow spa revenue across treatments, retail, and experiences
- Collaborating with Sales and Marketing teams on campaigns and promotions
- Staying informed on industry trends and competitor activity
- Encouraging a strong sales culture within the team
- Health & Safety
- Ensuring full compliance with all Health & Safety, Fire, COSHH, and hygiene regulations
- Conducting regular inspections and maintaining a safe environment for guests and team members
- Working closely with the Group Health & Safety Officer to uphold legal standards
About You
- Have proven experience in a senior spa or leisure management role
- Be able to demonstrate leadership and people management skills
- Be commercially aware with a track record of driving revenue and controlling costs
- Have excellent organisational and communication skills
- Be passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences
- Have knowledge of health & safety regulations within a spa or leisure environment
Additional Information
- Salary: £45,000 per annum
- Weekly working hours: 40 hours per week
- Working 5 out of 7 days per week (including evenings, weekends and bank holidays)
