The Role
As Head Bartender you will play a key role overseeing all aspects of the operations of our bars which includes crafting unique drink menus for our guests to enjoy, managing the bar staff and stock levels, and ensuring our high levels of service are maintained.
Responsibilities
- Develop and curate an exciting and innovative drink menu that reflects current trends and appeals to our diverse clientele.
- Provide guests with a personalised service, recommend drink selections, and ensure a memorable experience.
- Monitor and manage stock levels, order supplies, and reduce wastage to maintain cost efficiency.
- Develop and prepare high‑quality cocktails, including the creation of pre‑batched drinks, house‑made syrups, infusions, and garnishes.
- Oversee the cleanliness, organisation, and safety of the bar area, ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and alcohol regulations.
- Lead and motivate the bar staff, ensuring a cohesive and efficient team. Provide training and mentorship to ensure all staff meet the high standards expected.
- Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of the bar's cellar, ensuring optimal storage conditions for all beverages, including cleaning barrels and pipe cleaning.
Personal Specification
Essentials
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within the bar or hospitality industry.
- Extensive knowledge of mixology, spirits, wines, and beers.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Desirables
- Experience with large volume covers.
- Food Safety Training.

Shift Pattern
- Full‑time contract.
- 37.5 hours per week, working 5 out of 7 days.
- £13.75 per hour.
- Full flexibility is key as you will be expected to work as and when necessary to meet the needs of the team and the business, such as evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays.
