The Role
At Hoar Cross Hall, we pride ourselves on providing incredible service and a memorable experience for every single guest. We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Head Bartender to join our award-winning team and contribute to our continued success. As Head Bartender, you will play a key role overseeing all aspects of the operations of our bars which includes crafting unique drink menus for our guests to enjoy, managing the bar staff and stock levels, and ensuring our high levels of service are maintained.
Responsibilities
- Developing and curating an exciting and innovative drink menu that reflects current trends and appeals to our diverse clientele.
- Providing guests with personalised service, recommending drink selections, and ensuring a memorable experience.
- Monitoring and managing stock levels, ordering supplies, and reducing wastage to maintain cost efficiency.
- Developing and preparing high-quality cocktails, including the creation of pre-batched drinks, house-made syrups, infusions, and garnishes.
- Overseeing the cleanliness, organisation, and safety of the bar area. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and alcohol regulations.
- Leading and motivating the bar staff, ensuring a cohesive and efficient team. Providing training and mentorship to ensure all staff meet the high standards expected.
- Overseeing the maintenance and cleanliness of the bar\βs cellar, ensuring optimal storage conditions for all beverages. This includes changing barrels and pipe cleaning.
Personal Specification
Essentials
- Have previous experience in a supervisory role within the bar or hospitality industry.
- Have extensive knowledge of mixology, spirits, wines, and beers.
- Have excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Have excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Applicants must have the right to work in the UK. Proof of eligibility will be required prior to employment.

- Experience with large volume covers.

Shift Pattern
- Full-time contract
- Working 5 out of 7 days a week β 40hrs
- Full flexibility is key as you will be expected to work as and when necessary to meet the needs of the team and the business such as working evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays
