Join our team as Packing Operator and be part of the final stage of our production process. This varied, hands‑on role offers the opportunity to rotate across packing, palletising, feeding, and inspection tasks, ensuring our products are packed safely, accurately, and to the highest quality standards. Working in a fast‑paced, team‑focused environment, you’ll play a key role in maintaining safety, hygiene, and efficiency while developing a broad skill set through ongoing training. This is an ideal role for someone reliable, detail‑oriented, and proud of delivering quality work every day. In our factory in Merthyr Tydfil, we produce and pack up to 50 tons of wafer, marshmallow bars, toffees and eclairs per day on a large variety of production and packaging lines and machines.
Your Responsibilities
- Work as a multifunctional operator across packing, palletising, feeding, and inspection areas.
- Rotate between tasks such as packing products, palletising, cutter operation, wafer/magazine feeding, fridge inspection, and caramel line duties.
- Carry out servicing tasks including waste removal and collecting empty pallets.
- Check product day codes and pallet quantities accurately.
- Complete all required documentation clearly and correctly.
- Follow company policies to maintain product quality, safety, legality, and hygiene standards.
- Comply with Health & Safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
- Support and train new staff as needed.
- Perform cleaning tasks and follow “clean‑as‑you‑go” principles to keep the area tidy.
- Participate in required training and uphold company values: entrepreneurial, no‑nonsense, reliable, enthusiastic, and craftsmanship‑focused.
