Baronie currently have a fantastic opportunity to become part of our team. Based in the heart of South Wales, Baronie has been baking quality wafers for over 75 years. We are on the search for reliable and committed candidates who can produce food products to the highest quality standards and want to work somewhere that values teamwork and progression within the organisation.
Role
- Enrober – tempering chocolate, preparing lines, completing paperwork, CCP checks, replacing wire bands/belts.
- Mallow – preparing lines, completing paperwork, CCP checks, resolving issues.
- CD5 Toffee – preparing lines, completing paperwork, CCP checks, resolving issues.
- Moulding – tempering chocolate, preparing lines, completing paperwork, CCP checks, resolving issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete start‑up checks and prepare production lines across Enrober, Mallow, CD5 Toffee, and Moulding.
- Verify all pre‑production checks and ensure paperwork and CCP checks are completed correctly.
- Monitor line performance, including speed, waste, and staffing, and report issues promptly.
- Ensure the daily production plan is achieved and communicate any problems to relevant departments.
- Support and train new staff and work flexibly across all departments.
- Record production data and make adjustments to maintain quality and safety standards.
- Assist with planned maintenance and help review or produce SOPs when required.
- Diagnose and report production or engineering issues.
- Attend meetings when required and support continuous improvement activities.
- Maintain a clean, safe working environment and follow "clean‑as‑you‑go" principles.
