Our client is a full service London based law firm that has a strong client base and offers highly commercial solutions to its strong domestic and international client base and a people focussed, highly collegiate environment to its associates and partners. The firms highly regarded employment department (comprising 2 partners and 2 solicitors and a paralegal) now seeks a 2-4 year pqe associate to join the team on an 18 month contract basis.
The role will advise employers on the full spectrum of employment law, including contentious and non-contentious matters, with additional exposure to Transactional and TUPE work. More specifically the role will:
- work on the employment aspects of corporate and property transactions;
- provide strategic advice to employers on UK employment law;
- draft, review and negotiate employment related documentation;
- manage a varied caseload of Employment Tribunal claims;
- advise and act for senior executives on complex disputes, exits and settlement negotiations.
The ideal candidate will be UK qualified and have broad employment law experience from a city, corporate or boutique employment practice, advising employers and business owners. You will also be comfortable working collaboratively within a team on advisory, transactional and contentious work and ideally have some advocacy experience (to preliminary hearing level). The role will suit a proactive and collaborative lawyer who enjoys working in a small, busy and highly collaborative and rewarding team and firm.
