About the Post

We have a unique opportunity in Fleet Services, based within the busy depot services at Smithies Lane Depot. This role is a professional driver training and compliance officer responsible for delivering a managed program of training, assessment and compliance across a diverse fleet operation while maintaining high quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing driver training, assessment and compliance programmes.
  • Working to strict deadlines and providing accurate and detailed information.
  • Upholding health and safety standards.
  • Informing decisions and setting priorities in a challenging environment.
  • Providing guidance to peers and new recruits to promote the council's values and beliefs.
  • Contributing to management information for strategic oversight.
