We are currently looking to recruit a Manual Horizontal Borer (DAY SHIFT) for our client based in Ecclesfield (Sheffield) S35.
Working Hours: Monday-Thursday (06:00am - 16:00pm)
Pay Rate: £21 per hour, based on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting and operating manual horizontal boring machines.
- Machining one-off and small batch precision components.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Working to tight tolerances and quality standards.
- Selecting appropriate tooling and fixtures.
- Carrying out self-inspection using measuring equipment.
Requirements
- Previous experience operating manual horizontal borers.
- Ability to work from engineering drawings independently.
- Strong understanding of machining techniques and tolerances.
- Experience machining large or heavy components.
- Good attention to detail and quality standards.
