OVERVIEW & SCOPE OF ROLE
To oversee the Processing and / or Warehousing functions at our Hartlepool site. To ensure that all operators comply with the company's procedures in line with the company handbook and SSOW's and all elements associated with SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, Quality).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operations
- You must be a "hands on" operator as well as a Leader, able to run all the equipment under your supervision. Leading by example in producing a quality product to the output levels required.
- To plan your resources effectively to achieve daily processing targets as set by Senior Management.
- To ensure all products are processed and / or stored to the highest quality standards ensuring they are checked for conformance with clearly recorded documentation and in line with the SOP's.
- Monitor departmental consumables to ensure that all usage is reported correctly.
- Complete daily team briefs as instructed by the senior Management.
- Deliver Team Briefs and toolbox talks as requested.
- Help to create and maintain a training plan, ensuring all operatives are fully trained in 2 different processes and are completing Bi-annual refreshers, whilst ensuring the training Matrix is up to date and all training records are passed to the correct department for filing.
- Supervise daily breaks ensuring these are taken in line with contractual requirements.
- To always adhere to and champion the site SHEQ requirements, company rules and regulations and to actively supervise the processes carrying out audits including but not limited to; safety tours, safety stand-ups, safety stand-downs and TBT's.
- To ensure that robust safety inspections are completed and that issues are rectified quickly and made safe and that the Senior Managers are informed.
- To ensure compliance with all quality specifications and they are always adhered to and that clear SOP's and training are in place to enforce standards.
- Maintain the housekeeping to a high standard and ensure the area is always "visit ready" by doing daily checks.
- To ensure that waste is correctly organised, stored, controlled and disposed of in line with ISO 14001 standards.
- To help drive improvements in the culture by encouraging near miss reporting.
- To support the Senior Managers to reduce the overall risk to employees within your areas of responsibility and throughout the business.
- Ensure your department is always operating and trained to ISO 45001, 9001, 14001.
EXPERIENCE & BACKGROUND
Requirements of Role:
- Good Health & Safety awareness.
- Previous plastics recycling experience preferred.
- A strong understanding or compliance to process requirements.
- Strong written and verbal English.
- GCSE qualifications in grade C or above in English Maths and Science or equivalent.
- FLT license or willing to acquire.
