We are currently looking to recruit an experienced CNC Miller Programmer/Setter/Operator for our client based in Huddersfield (HD4). The business produces high accuracy components for a range of industries, working with modern CNC machinery, tight tolerances, and a strong focus on quality, reliability, and right first time output. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy, takes pride in their machining capability, and can confidently programme from scratch using Fanuc controls.
PAY RATE: 18 - 20 an hour, based on experience.
WORKING HOURS: Monday-Thursday 07:00am - 17:15pm (Fri/Sat/Sun off) Overtime available.
Key Responsibilities
- CNC Programming: Create, edit and optimise CNC milling programmes using Fanuc controls.
- Machine Setup: Set tools, fixtures, offsets and workholding for efficient and accurate machining.
- Independent Operation: Run jobs from start to finish, ensuring consistent quality and adherence to specifications.
- Quality Inspection: Use measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers, gauges) to verify tolerances.
- Process Improvement: Suggest tooling, method and programme improvements to enhance cycle times and finish.
- Technical Problem Solving: Diagnose issues with tooling, programmes or machine performance.
