We are currently looking to recruit a Multi-Skilled Technician (Electrical Bias) to join our client based in Tenbury Wells. Our client is a manufacturer operating across multiple sites, supplying well-known beverage, food and household brands.
SALARY: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum, based on experience
WORKING HOURS: 4 on/4 off - 2 days, then 2 nights (7-7)
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plant breakdown response — diagnose and repair machinery faults quickly to minimise downtime.
- Machinery servicing — carry out planned and reactive maintenance across injection and blow moulding equipment.
- System changeovers — complete safe and efficient changeovers to support production schedules.
- Minor engineering projects — assist with upgrades, modifications and small-scale improvement work.
- Continuous improvement — identify and implement reliability, efficiency and safety improvements.
- Injection moulding setter support — provide ongoing support to the Shift Injection Moulding Setter (full on-the-job training provided).
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Electrical qualification — minimum ONC or C&G 236 (or equivalent).
- 18th Edition — advantageous but not essential.
- PLC troubleshooting — including uploads and downloads of programs.
- Hydraulic troubleshooting — confident diagnosing hydraulic faults.
- Pneumatic troubleshooting — strong understanding of pneumatic systems.
- General engineering skills — mechanical and electrical competence.
- Injection or blow moulding experience — beneficial but not essential.
- Automation experience — advantageous due to investment in Siemens S7 IPC-controlled robot palletisation systems.
