We’re looking for an experienced and dynamic Area Manager to join our team! The role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a flexible and varied working schedule. The Role: As our Area Manager, you will play a vital role in representing the company and ensuring our cleaning teams consistently deliver the high-quality service our clients expect. You will lead and support a team of supervisors and cleaners, overseeing operational performance and maintaining the highest standards of service across your area. In this key leadership position, you’ll be responsible for not only managing day-to-day operations, but also maintaining strong client relationships and fostering the development of your team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the contracted cleaning provision at various sites across South Yorkshire, including educational establishments
  • Monitor and ensure the highest standards of cleaning services are consistently delivered
  • Lead, train, and motivate cleaning supervisors and staff to maintain a positive and productive work environment
  • Resolve site staff disciplinary and grievance issues as required, undertaking disciplinary investigations and hearings as well as sickness and absence monitoring
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor performance, address client concerns, and ensure compliance with safety and cleaning standards
  • Work with other internal teams to manage scheduling, stock, and equipment maintenance
  • Ensure adequate provision of sickness, holiday and vacancy cover for site staff in an efficient and cost effective manner
  • Attend monthly meetings with senior management to report on performance and challenges

Our Successful Candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in operations management or a similar role, ideally in the cleaning industry
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning operations
  • Full UK driving license as company van is provided
  • Flexibility to travel between sites as needed
