Barnsley Council have an exciting opportunity for a Vehicle Technician to join the team based in Barnsley. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £35,412 - £38,220 per annum.
We have a unique opportunity in Fleet Services, based within the busy vehicle repair workshop at Smithies Lane Depot - this is your chance to be a part of council services delivered within the community.
We are looking for a professional vehicle technician with a proven track record of providing inspections, maintenance and repairs across a diverse and challenging fleet whilst maintaining the highest possible standards of quality. Someone who has shown the ability to work to strict deadlines, provide accurate and detailed information whilst upholding the highest possible standards of health and safety.
Being part of a team of technicians tasked with providing the best "£ for £" local authority maintenance function possible and support our Zero 40 Zero Carbon strategy by transitioning the Fleet towards EV.
In this role you will be working on the full BMBC fleet, from cars through to 26T refuse collection vehicles and everything in between. A diverse fleet which is maintained to the highest standards.
