Responsibilities:
- Drive general and specialist vehicles and machines with or without trailers or attachments.
- Be responsible for the careful day-to-day use, maintenance and security of vehicles, machinery and equipment.
- Be customer focused and deal with exchanges of information in a polite, courteous and positive manner.
- Respond to minor requests for service and report problems to the line manager.
- Undertake fault diagnosis and on-site assessments of the structural condition of street lighting equipment and report findings.
- Respond to emergencies to secure damaged street lighting and electrical apparatus.
- Work under the guidance of the line manager and by personal initiative to deliver services to a professional standard within agreed procedures.
- Follow agreed schedules and respond to new priorities as directed by the line manager to ensure deadlines are met.
- Demonstrate safe working practices to other employees, apprentices, trainees and students where required.
- Comply with current Health and Safety regulations.
- Undertake any duties commensurate with the post as requested by management.
Qualifications:
- City & Guilds 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations.
- G39 – Working on DNO apparatus OR extensive equivalent experience.
- CSCS / ECS card.
- IPAF or willing to achieve within 6 months of employment.
- Driving licence.
