Barnsley Council has an exciting opportunity for an Operations Manager to join the team based in Barnsley. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £47,181 - £50,269 per annum.
About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Operations Manager to lead the delivery of an efficient and effective domestic waste collection service. This is a key leadership role where you will shape and implement our service operating model, working collaboratively with stakeholders to modernise and continuously improve front-line services.
Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire operational teams to deliver safe, customer-focused, and high-performing services.
- Embed core operating principles into day-to-day practice while maintaining flexibility to respond to emerging priorities using a risk-based approach.
- Drive performance improvement and value for money, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and excellence.
- Champion continuous improvement and innovation across the service, ensuring agility and responsiveness to changing needs.
