Are you passionate about shaping the world around you? Ready to kickstart a career in civil engineering while gaining a nationally recognised qualification? Join our Highways, Engineering and Strategic Transport teams as a Technician (Career Grade) and take your first step into a rewarding future.
What’s the role? As a Technician, you’ll be part of a structured development programme, working across various highways disciplines. You’ll gain hands-on experience in areas like highway design, construction, traffic management, and strategic transport planning. From using CAD software to delivering real-world projects, you’ll be making a difference from day one.
What will you study? You’ll be enrolled on the Level 4 Civil Engineering Senior Technician Apprenticeship (ST0046). This course typically runs for 36 months and includes:
- One day per week release to attend college in Leeds
- A blend of classroom learning and practical application
- Development of technical knowledge in design, surveying, construction, and project delivery
