About the Post
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Council’s Safer Communities Services to coordinate and deliver against aspects of the Government's approved resettlement schemes and our community cohesion agenda.
The role involves assisting individuals and families to adapt to a new life in a new country and ensuring Barnsley remains at the forefront of innovative multi-agency practice to assist with strategic migration.
What you will need
Knowledge of the community cohesion agenda and the challenges posed by a multicultural society, with proven experience of formulating and delivering support packages for those in need.
Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills are required; managing expectations will be a key skill for this role.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues across and in partnership with a variety of internal and external stakeholders at a senior level.
