About the Post

We are excited to be recruiting to the role of Field Support Officer in our Licensing Team within Regulatory Services here in Barnsley. The successful candidate will provide support services to the licensing team, advise and support licence holders and licence applicants.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working in a fast‑paced licensing team covering all aspects of Licensing, including Taxi and Private Hires, Licensed Premises and Gambling Establishments.

To join us you’ll need:

  • A relevant level 2 qualification.
  • Previous experience using a range of computer applications and ICT, including Microsoft Office.
  • Practical experience dealing with members of the public.

The candidate must be able to:

  • Work effectively on their own as well as part of a team.
  • Undertake problem solving and make decisions.

This post requires a Basic Criminal Record Check. The successful candidate will need to speak English to an appropriate standard. Employees with significant periods (6 months or more in the past 3 years) of time living abroad must be able to give a reasonable account.
