We are seeking an enthusiastic Digital Apprentice to join the Applications Team within the Technology and Innovation Service. The role supports all business‑critical systems of the Council through maintenance, support, development and upgrades.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve low‑level application issues.
  • Create new user accounts and manage access controls for applications.
  • Implement low‑level changes to applications and update related documentation under supervision.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, suppliers and partner agencies to deliver value‑adding solutions.
  • Work within a hybrid environment, coordinating coverage between office and remote hours (9am‑5pm Mon‑Thu, 9am‑4:30pm Fri) on a 37‑hour flexi‑time week.

Qualifications

  • Strong drive and ambition to develop digital skills.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office 365 and openness to adopting AI technologies.
  • Good digital literacy and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and collaborate across the organisation.

Working Arrangements

Flexible working is available. The workplace is hybrid, offering access to Westgate, outreach buildings and the option to work from home.
