About the Post:

As a Compliance and Quality Improvement Officer in the Commissioning and Improvement Assurance Team, you will play a key role in improving the quality, safety and effectiveness of commissioned adult social care services across Barnsley. Working closely with providers, operational colleagues and partners, you will support contract monitoring, quality assurance activity, provider engagement and improvement planning. Your work will help ensure that people receive good-quality care and support that promotes independence, choice, wellbeing and positive outcomes.

This is an exciting and important time to join Barnsley. We are delivering our Strategy for Change, reshaping how care and support is commissioned, monitored and improved so that services are high quality, sustainable and focused on what matters most to people. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking team at the heart of that transformation.

We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and values-driven Compliance and Quality Improvement Officer who is passionate about making a difference, confident in building positive relationships and committed to supporting continuous improvement across the care market. Could that be you?

The successful candidate will be curious, organised and confident using evidence, professional judgement and communication skills to influence positive change. You will have experience of working with providers, partners or services to monitor performance, identify risk, promote good practice and agree practical improvement actions. You will also be able to analyse information, write clear reports and build constructive relationships that support better outcomes for people who draw on care and support.

In return, you will join a supportive and ambitious team that is proud to work with residents, providers and partners to strengthen quality, assurance and market oversight. You will help us deliver safe, effective and person-centred care services, contribute to our wider improvement priorities and play your part in making Barnsley the place of possibilities.
