You will advise Children’s Social Workers on legislation, prepare legal documents, and support complex or niche matters with senior colleagues. Responsibilities

  • Handle a caseload of mainly Public Law Child Care cases and pre-proceedings matters.
  • Undertake advocacy on behalf of the council.
  • Advise Children’s Social Workers on relevant legislation, in person and in writing.
  • Prepare legal documentation and court documents; advise on child protection law; assist senior lawyers on complex matters.
  • Conduct legal research.

Key requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive with appropriate rights or willingness to achieve them.
