Barnsley Hospital Charity is looking for a passionate, creative and enthusiastic Fundraising Officer to help us make an even bigger difference to patients, families and colleagues across Barnsley Hospital.

Youll build fantastic relationships with supporters, community groups and businesses, develop exciting fundraising opportunities and help deliver events and campaigns that inspire people to get involved. No two days will be the same!

Main duties of the job

As Fundraising Officer at Barnsley Hospital Charity, you will help inspire individuals, community groups, businesses and supporters to raise vital funds that make a real difference to patients, families and colleagues. You will develop and support fundraising activities, build strong relationships with supporters, coordinate events and identify new opportunities to grow income.

Youll be organised, creative and confident communicating with a wide range of people, while ensuring supporters receive an excellent experience. Working as part of a small but passionate charity team, you will help turn fundraising ideas into successful campaigns and events, raising awareness of how donations enhance care and improve experiences across Barnsley Hospital.

Person Specification

Experience

  • Working in office based administrative support role dealing with a variety of tasks
  • Experience of content management or customer service systems
  • Creative design to promote fundraising opportunities
  • Experience of working or volunteering in the charity sector.
  • Previous hospital/heath related service environment
  • Experience of Harlequin CRM database

Qualifications

  • Institute of Fundraising Certificate in Fundraising (or equivalent qualification)
  • Formal Microsoft Office training

Knowledge and Awareness

  • Knowledge of general office procedures
  • Knowledge of fundraising laws and practices
  • Knowledge of social media streams
