An exciting opportunity exists on the Endoscopy Unit at Barnsley Hospital for a Band 6 Team Leader. The role will include management of the unit and leading the unit in the absence of the Lead Nurse. We are looking for an innovative and hardworking registered practitioner. The postholder should have experience and in-depth knowledge of endoscopy.
Main duties of the job:
- Daily management of the unit, including staffing and supporting staff attendance.
- Budgetary responsibilities for stock items, attending meetings, dealing with incidents and complaints.
- Working alongside our JAG and Clinical Education Leads to ensure that our unit and staff are performing to high standards.
- Covering the on-call service that will be over and above the contracted hours to ensure 24/7 emergency cover.
- Opportunities for further development of skills and abilities within the unit and external training courses.
