2 permanent roles available (34.5 hours per week including nights, weekends and bank holidays). An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen to recruit a Staff Nurse to our Acute Stroke unit and care of the elderly ward. We are looking for an enthusiastic experienced registered nurse to join our friendly team. We are a 28 bedded unit split between joint specialities of acute stroke and care of the elderly. We work closely with the multi-disciplinary team comprising of SALT, neuro and medical physios, occupational therapists, and dietetics.

Main duties of the job:

  • Deliver safe, effective nursing care with dignity and respect at the forefront.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans.
  • Administer medications and monitor patient progress.
  • Work collaboratively with doctors, therapists, and support staff.
  • Support healthcare assistants and contribute to a positive team culture.
  • Take part in ongoing learning and development opportunities.
