An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to join our SEQOHS accredited service based at Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The service is evolving and growing to meet the needs of the organisations and contracts we serve. The successful individual will support us to provide a high-quality Occupational Health and Wellbeing service. This will include the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of Occupational Health and wellbeing activities and standards.
Main duties of the job:
- To participate in the provision of a high-quality Occupational Health and Wellbeing service to clients of Barnsley Occupational Health Service, including the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of Occupational Health activities and standards.
- To deliver specialist Occupational Health and Wellbeing advice within the Trust and to external client groups as per agreed contracts and Service Level Agreements.
- To promote Occupational Health and Wellbeing within the Trust and maintain an understanding and good working relationships with all client groups.
- To respond to the professional developments in Occupational Health Practice and Health and Safety Legislation.
- To be aware of new initiatives and develop policies to ensure that legal requirements are communicated effectively to clients to minimise health and safety risks.

Experience:
- Experience of supervising and motivating staff.
- Experience of developing and implementing National Guidance/Health and Safety Policy into Occupational Health Policy and procedure.
- Experience of gathering data and producing reports.
- Previous experience of Occupational Health in the NHS.
- Experience of successful budget management.
- Experience in developing evidence-based practice.
- Experience of working within a Vocational Rehabilitation Service.
- Lifestyle and Wellbeing experience.
- Coaching / mentoring experience.

Qualifications:
- BSc in Occupational Therapy with extensive registration.
- Willingness to work towards Masters level qualification or equivalent experience at senior level.
- Current HCPC Registration.
- Qualified to carry out standardized functional evaluations.
- Management qualification / Experience of staff management.
- Basic Counselling Course.
Knowledge and Awareness:
- Knowledge of Microsoft office and OH computer systems (ie OPAS / COHORT).
- Willingness to undertake any further training development as identified in appraisal.

- Good communication skills - written and verbal.
