This role is a fantastic opportunity for apprentices currently studying for NVQ Level 2/3. Apprentices should note that the salary would be the Agenda for Change Annex 21 trainee rate (75% max of band) until they have completed their apprenticeship.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an IT Infrastructure Support Assistant to work within the Infrastructure team in the ICT Department at Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust on a 12-month placement. The role is ideally suited for university students completing a sandwich degree in computing/networking with a passion for technology and experience working in a fast-paced environment.
Main duties of the jobThe post holder will be responsible for providing ICT Infrastructure support. This includes monitoring a call ticketing queue, remote fixes, processing procurement of IT equipment for the Trust, IP & analogue telephony configuration, server monitoring/maintenance, advising users, and general administration duties. The role requires a high level of customer focus and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications- Minimum of 3 GCSEs at Grade 4 or equivalent, including English Language.
