We are lookingfor dedicated & experienced plain film radiographers with proven team leadershipand communication skills to join our department to provide support to theradiographer teams and Modality Lead.
You will bejoining our friendly, flexible team to provide a high quality, responsivediagnostic service delivering excellent patient care in line with the Trustcore values. You will be expected to maintain high clinical standards and sharethis practice with junior staff and students.
You must haveexcellent communication and organisational skills, a commitment to CPD and apractical knowledge of radiation protection, legislation and health and safetyrequirements and data protection. A flexible approach to working will berequired.
Main duties of the job
This is aleadership role and the successful candidate will be a role model fordemonstrating our Trusts values through their leadership behaviours, workingcollaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams and be committed to providinghigh quality patient care.
You willpossess DCR (R) or BSc Radiography with current HCPC registration.
We activelyencourage Post Graduate study and role extension. We currently have 16radiographers who undertake Advanced Practice and this will continue todevelop.
Applicantsshould have a minimum of 3 years postgraduate experience and previous NHSexperience is essential.
You willrequired to work at both the hospital site and at the Community DiagnosticCentre (CDC).

Qualifications
- DCR or BSc in Diagnostic Radiography
- HCPC registration
- Post-graduate level study and/or qualification in management/ supervision
Experience
- Extensive post-graduate experience of both general radiography /clinical systems
- Experience of using a range of digital radiographic equipment (including DR, CR and mobile units).
- Evidence of leading the audit process
- Knowledge and implementation of HR procedures e.g. sickness absence, disciplinary, appraisals
- Participation in QA programme
- Participation in teaching at professional lectures, study days and workshops.
Knowledge and Awareness
- Commitment to undertake ALL training requirements of the post.(inc audit)
- A commitment to expand and develop their core knowledge using evidence based practice and to work alongside other medical professionals to enhance their understanding of patient pathways.
- Commitment to teach radiographers and other members of MDT
- Participation in teaching at professional lectures, study days and workshops.
