Weare seeking to recruit well motivated individuals to work in our busy OutpatientsDepartment where you will carry out a full range of duties in order to providean effective and efficient service.
Forthis role it is essential that you are educated to O level/GCSE, NVQ in Customer Care or Business Administration or equivalent,with experience of working in an outpatient department.
Withgood communication and interpersonal skills, you will have experienceofcommunicating with a wide range of people on all levels either by telephone orface to face. You will be able to work on your own initiative, prioritisingyour workload and paying attention to detail at all times whilst working underpressure and to tight deadlines. You will be a good team player with aflexible approach to work, pleasant personality and positive outlook.
Main duties of the job
Booking of all appointmentsinline with the NHS Plan targets and Patient Choice
To be responsible for allclinic capacity ensuring all vacant new patient slots are utilized in linewith current protocols and to the maximum waiting times set for theservice.
Action Service Managersrequests for the cancellation, reduction & re-instatement of clinicsand reschedule patients around rotas, annual leave and sickness.
Preparing complex statisticsand data for relevant Service managers using various computer softwarepackages. Supply reports of demand, activity and by specialty waitingtimes.
To be responsible for allclinic capacity ensuring all vacant slots are utilized.
Dealing with all patientenquires and problems.
Manage Outpatient review listand inform clinicians and Service managers of any capacity issues.
