York City FC are seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and committed Goalkeeper Coach to join the coaching staff and support the continued development and performance of our Women’s First Team goalkeepers.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality goalkeeper-specific coaching, while working collaboratively with the wider coaching team to ensure the goalkeepers are fully integrated into the team’s tactical, technical and physical programme.
Commitment: Training: Tuesday, Thursdayand Friday evenings. Match days: Sundays with occasional midweek
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality, goalkeeper-specific training sessions appropriate to the needs and abilities of the squad.
- Develop goalkeeping excellence in line with club and team game model
- Work closely with the First Team Head Coach and wider MDT to integrate goalkeeper specifics into the team's overall playing principles
- Provide individualised feedback and development plans for goalkeepers.
- Analyse goalkeeper performances during training and matches and identify areas for improvement.
- Support matchday preparation and provide goalkeeper-specific coaching and feedback.
- Contribute positively to the wider culture, standards and values of York City FC Women.
- Maintain appropriate records of player development and training.
- Ensure all coaching is delivered in a safe, inclusive and professional environment.
- Support the club's commitment to developing players and promoting women's football.

About The Candidate
The successful candidate must have:
- A recognised Goalkeeper Coaching qualification.
- A recognised UEFA coaching qualification.
- Relevant coaching experience within 11-a-side football.
- Experience working with goalkeepers in a competitive football environment.
- A strong understanding of the technical and tactical demands of the modern goalkeeper.
- The ability to plan and deliver structured, engaging and progressive training sessions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A professional, positive and player-centred approach.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a MDT
- A commitment to safeguarding, equality, inclusion and player welfare.
- Experience coaching within women's football (FAWNL/WSL/PGA)
- Experience within the FA Women’s National League or equivalent level.
- Previous first-team or senior football coaching experience.
- Experience using video analysis to support player development.
- A strong understanding of the demands and standards required within the women's game.
