Role
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated professional to join our team as the Club Safeguarding Lead. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for advising and supporting the senior team in developing and establishing our organisation\’s approach to safeguarding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Play a lead role in maintaining and reviewing the club\’s safeguarding plan
- Coordinate the distribution of policies, procedures, and safeguarding resources throughout the organisation
- Advise on training needs and development, providing training where appropriate
- Provide safeguarding advice and support to staff and volunteers
- Manage safeguarding concerns, allegations, or incidents reported to the club
- Manage referrals to key safeguarding agencies (e.g., social services or police) of any incidents or allegations of abuse and harm
About The Candidate
Requirements:
- Significant experience in a safeguarding or child protection role
- Thorough understanding of relevant safeguarding legislation and best practises
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively with the senior team and other stakeholders
- Previous experience working in an educational setting
- Knowledge of the EPPP & EFL inspection framework
- Ability to deliver effective safeguarding training
