Youth Operations Manager in Barnsley, South Yorkshire

Barnsley Council have an exciting opportunity for a Youth Operations Manager to join the team based in Barnsley. You will join us on a full-time, fixed term contract until 31.07.2027. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £51,356 – £54,495 per annum.

The Local Authoritys Targeted Youth Support Service are a key partner in delivering services that are sufficient to meet the needs of our local young people and we are going through some exciting changes within the service to be able to respond to new and emerging priorities for young people and youth work both locally and nationally.

• Connect with their local community, influence positive change, become active citizens and make a difference through youth voice, participation and advocacy opportunities

As Youth Operations Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our youth services and programmes, specifically leading the Youth Voice and Participation Team within our wider service to ensure delivery meets the highest standards of quality and impact. You will manage staff, budgets, and logistical planning, all while maintaining a focus on safeguarding and positive outcomes for young people and the expectations of our stakeholders and partners.

Contract type: Fixed term until 31.7.2027 to cover the secondment of the current postholder(s).
