Your role in our journey

As a Systems Coordinator Officer for the Education Welfare Service, you will have the opportunity to support the shaping of service delivery to improve attendance in education across the borough. You will be responsible for supporting the coordination of systems that assist the operational performance of the Education Welfare service in fulfilling it’s statutory and non-statutory functions. By working alongside the team you will support the service in gathering, recording and tracking information to ensure systems and process run efficiently and effectively. You will work in collaboration with the management team to engage schools and academies in providing complete and timely information to support the service in meeting the legal requirements of it’s statutory processes whilst supporting the service in aligning service delivery and objectives to support Barnsley’s vision of a brighter future and the 2030 plan to transform our borough into the place of possibilities.

What You’ll Need

To join us, you’ll need a level 3 qualification in a related discipline and be committed to continued professional development. You will have experience of working with a range of computer applications and have practical experience of dealing with enquiries from the public and our partners. You will be skilled in building working relationships with internal and external partners, you will be skilled in communicating effectively with parents and partners. You will have proven ability to organise and document scheduled meetings.
