Working Arrangements : Mon-Fri but some flexible working including early mornings, late evenings and weekends may be required.

About The Post
We’re excited to be recruiting an Employ ment and Volunteer Support Worker here in Barnsley, the place of possibilities.

Our excellent Supported Employment and Volunteering Service has been a key part of our win, we’re so proud of what we have achieved not just for the council but for our partners and Barnsley.
We want every person with a learning barrier to achieve their full potential by having the opportunity to work or volunteer in the local area. We work with local employers and voluntary organisations to create opportunities that will achieve positive and sustainable outcomes for the people we support.
We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic, committed individual to join our supportive team and help to provide the very best outcomes for vulnerable adults in Barnsley in line with the SEQF 5 stage model of Supported Employment
As an Empl oyment and Volunteer Support Worker your function will be to provide job coaching in a workplace setting to enable candidates to become independent in their roles . You will ideally have experience of working with people with learning disabilities , difficulties or neurodiversity or with other vulnerable groups. You may also support people with job searching, cv writing or employability skills helping them identify suitable opportunities. You will work as part of a team to contribute to assessment and action planning as part of the candidates journey.
You will need a level 2 qualification.
You’ll be required to have an enhanced DBS check. If you live overseas or have lived overseas in the last five years, if you are the preferred candidate for the post, you will be required to apply for an overseas criminal records check from the country you have live in.
