Barnsley Council have an exciting opportunity for a Driver Training and Compliance Officer to join the team based in Barnsley. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of ÂŁ31,537 - ÂŁ34,434 per annum.
About the Post:
We have a unique opportunity in Fleet Services, based within the busy depot services team at Smithies Lane Depot - this is your chance to be a part of council services delivered within the community.
What you’ll need:
- We are looking for a professional driver training and compliance officer with a proven track record of delivering a managed program of training, assessment and compliance across a diverse and challenging fleet operation whilst maintaining the highest possible standards of quality.
- Someone who has shown the ability to work to strict deadlines, provide accurate and detailed information whilst upholding the highest possible standards of health and safety.
- Being part of a team tasked with providing the best “£ for £” local authority training, assessment, and compliance function possible.
- Using your extensive professional experience within the driver training and compliance sector, you will contribute to providing management information which will help inform decisions and set priorities in what can be a highly challenging environment with conflicting demands.
- You will also be expected to offer help and guidance to peers and new recruits, helping to promote the council’s values and beliefs.
