About The Post
We’re excited to be recruiting a Corporate / Senior Corporate Assurance Officer (Career Grade 6, 7, 8 & 9) here at Barnsley, the place of possibilities.
Following a transformation review , a new Corporate Assurance team was established effective 1 st January 2024. We r eplace d the Internal Audit, Anti-Fraud and Assurance Team and a dopt a new broader , strategic approach to assurance provision for the Council and external clients.
The Corporate / Senior Corporate Assurance role will expose you to a wide variety of strategic and operational matters . Predominantly this will be providing assurance on the Council’s and External Client’s internal control framework (Internal Audit) but also working on anti-fraud, risk management and governance assurance. Th is will be challenging but a rewarding role that will make a significant contribution to the success of the Council and external clients.
