About The Post
Barnsley Council is a place of possibilities, recognised for bold thinking, innovation, and delivering real impact for our communities. We are inviting a talented and ambitious Business Intelligence Analyst to join our BI service.
Responsibilities
- Providing support to colleagues working on strategic and operational performance management, identifying where performance insights inform business decisions, and drive improvement.
- Working with teams of data developers and analysts to support the delivery of Business Intelligence solutions to provide customers with timely and robust data analysis and insight.
- Assist in the completion of statutory and the provision of data sets from multiple sources.
- Support in the production of high quality, user-friendly reports and dashboards that display complex information, including predictive analysis to improve outcomes for local people and organisational effectiveness.
- Support with data cleansing and improving data quality to strengthen accountability across the organisation.
- Enable data to be accessed by colleagues through the development of self-serve capabilities.
Requirements
- You are a proactive and analytical individual with a passion for using data to drive improvement.
- Substantial experience of undertaking analysis and interpreting data to identify and produce key findings.
- Experience of identifying, analysing and interpreting trends and patterns in data to inform future service delivery.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, able to tailor messages to diverse audiences.
- Experience of developing and maintaining relationships with strong interpersonal skills to communicate complex information clearly to a range of audiences.
- A Level 6 qualification (or equivalent experience) in a relevant field.
