About The Post

An Opportunity has arisen for a Bereavement Services Officer to be part of the Bereavement team based at Barnsley Crematorium.

Duties will primarily include the sale of memorials to the general public. This role will also assist with the delivery of public health funerals.

The post holder will require a sensitive personality and be able to deal with a variety of situations that require tact and diplomacy.

You will be required to be highly organised as duties will cover planning and implementing work schedules along with the design of memorials using bespoke software.

A friendly outgoing personality is essential along with the necessary skills required to work in such a sensitive setting.

Excellent IT skills and a good understanding of bereavement issues will enable the right candidate to excel in this position.
