About The Post
We are looking for a passionate and engaging Youth Young People’s Service worker to work with young people aged 11‑19 (and up to 25 for those with additional needs). The role involves supporting positive choices and decision-making through recreational activities and resources, working evenings (Monday‑Friday) with a flexible 2.5‑12 hour per week commitment. The successful candidate will be flexible in the number of evenings worked, up to a maximum of 3 nights (12 hours) per week, across a 38‑week delivery calendar and may be deployed to various locations in the Borough where needed.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the delivery of issue‑based programmes using recreational activities and resources.
- Provide young people with trusted adult role models to support positive choices and decision‑making.
- Work as part of a team to deliver a local youth offer, including building‑based or outreach settings.
- Engage and support young people in activities and conversations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Ability to speak English to an appropriate standard.
- Pre‑existing or ability to obtain an Enhanced DBS Check.
- Legal right to work in the UK and appropriate visa if applicable.
- Flexibility to work evenings.
