About the Post:
Resource Allocation Officer – 2 posts 37 hours Monday to Friday. The Resource Allocation Team supports adult social care commissioning, ensuring that systems support payments to providers, funding is allocated accurately, public money is recovered appropriately, and residents receive the support they need at the right time. The role is ideal for someone who thrives on challenge, enjoys working with complex information, and is confident building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. You will bring experience of managing, monitoring and reporting detailed data, alongside a strong understanding of Continuing Healthcare (CHC). Knowledge of System C and ContrOCC would be beneficial, as would the ability to take ownership of complex issues and see them through to resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure care funding across Adult Social Care is allocated accurately and in line with statutory requirements.
- Manage Integrated Care funding, funding top‑ups, fee administration and fraud alerts to strengthen financial governance.
- Support the development of case management systems to reflect contracts with providers and enable automated payments.
- Set up vendors, create purchase orders and manage invoice payments.
- Collaborate with providers, partners and internal stakeholders to improve payment processes and financial resilience.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience in managing, monitoring and reporting detailed financial data.
- Strong understanding of Continuing Healthcare (CHC) and budget management.
- Familiarity with System C and ContrOCC systems is an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of complex issues and deliver solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
