Role Overview
Leaving Care Personal Advisor (non‑case holding) – Full‑time position based at The Hub, Barnsley Town Centre. As a Leaving Care Personal Advisor you will support young people aged 15‑25 in their transition from care into independent adulthood. Your key responsibilities include:
- Building trusting relationships with service users
- Working with multi‑agency stakeholders to provide advice, guidance and practical support on housing, education, health, employment, wellbeing, training and independent living
- Planning and delivering creative activities, life‑skill sessions, social events and workshops, using cooking, baking, arts, crafts and other activities to encourage participation and build confidence
- Creating a welcoming atmosphere within The Hub
- Advocating for young people
- Celebrating achievements
