Overview
In this role you will support pupils by partnering with families to reduce barriers to learning and boost access to education. You will operate as a safeguarding-focused liaison, carrying out home visits, events, and parent training while supporting targeted children. You’ll be a key link between parents and school staff, contributing to community involvement and multi‑agency collaboration within ECM Trust. This 31-hour term-time post offers professional development and a chance to make a real difference in children’s lives.

Responsibilities
- Tackle underachievement by working with families to improve student access to education
- Engage with parents, carers and pupils in a non-judgmental manner to empower participation
- Carry out home visits, organise parent events and training
- Conduct assessments such as Early Help Assessments
- Serve as safeguarding lead and manage safeguarding duties
- Support targeted children and act as a liaison for parents and staff
- Contribute to wider community involvement and multi-agency collaboration
Key requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in related discipline
- Experience working in the community with children and families
- Strong safeguarding knowledge and willingness to be safeguarding lead
- Ability to handle challenging conversations professionally
- Excellent communication skills, including ICT use
