Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for the Housing Options Team, providing excellent customer service, assessment, and communication skills.
  • Give advice, guidance and signpost to a range of customers.
  • Set up cases on a case management system and make initial enquiries into individuals’ circumstances.
  • Work as a team to deliver an excellent customer experience on the phone, face to face and via email.
  • Ensure high‑quality advice and assistance to a range of customers, some of whom may be vulnerable and complex.
  • Assess customer needs, provide appropriate advice, support, signposting and referrals, and undertake needs and risk assessment to determine priority and access to other services.
  • Work in a fast‑paced, demanding customer‑service environment using your own initiative, thinking on your feet and problem‑solving effectively.
  • Use a range of techniques to establish the needs and risk of customers to prioritise service responses.
  • Work as part of a team and with wider partners.

Qualifications

  • 4 GCSEs, including English and Maths or equivalent.
  • Relevant NVQ Level 3.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and listening skills.
