Responsibilities
- Provide support services to the licensing team and advise and support licensees and licence applicants.
- Operate a fast‑paced licensing team covering all aspects of licensing, including taxi and private hire, licensed premises and gambling establishments.
- Use a range of computer applications and ICT, including Microsoft Office.
- Engage with members of the public to address licensing questions and concerns.
- Take on problem‑solving tasks and make decisions within the scope of the licensing team.
Qualifications & Skills
- Relevant Level 2 qualification.
- Experience using a range of computer applications and ICT, including Microsoft Office.
- Practical experience dealing with members of the public.
- Ability to work effectively on your own and as part of a team, undertaking problem‑solving and decision‑making.
- Working knowledge of licensing regulations is beneficial.
- Basic Criminal Record Check required.
Working Conditions
- Work in a fast‑paced licensing team.
- Required to speak English to an appropriate standard.
- Prepared to start work with necessary legal documents, such as a valid visa.
- Organisation does not possess a Home Office licence and cannot provide sponsorship for skilled or temporary migrant workers.
- Reasonable account of any significant periods (six months or more in the past three years) living abroad may be required.
