Job Overview

An exciting opportunity to join Barnsley Council’s Strategic Purchasing, Procurement and Contract Management team to support delivery of the Council Plan and strengthen contract management capability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage supplier performance to ensure value for money and compliance with contract requirements.
  • Maintain and manage contract data, documentation, and payment processes.
  • Identify and support resolution of contract performance issues and breaches.
  • Support implementation of systems and improvements to contract management processes.
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure effective contract delivery.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience supporting contract management or similar commercial activity.
  • Ability to work with data, systems, and documentation.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Proactive, organised, and able to manage a varied workload.
