Key Responsibilities
The Assets Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of BMBC buildings, ensuring efficient management and maintenance of facilities. This role involves coordinating with various teams, managing Building Supervisors and Housekeeping Supervisor, supporting Soft FM functions across the BMBC portfolio, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, building inspections and enhancing the overall functionality and appearance of BMBC buildings. The Assets Operations Manager will manage the day-to-day operations of BMBC sites, including housekeeping, security and facility management. The role will ensure admin buildings run smoothly, safely and securely, support the Service Manager with contract management for all Soft FM functions, manage a team of staff, provide direction and coordination of workloads and rotas, support performance management, recruitment, motivation, training, welfare and discipline, and oversee scheduling of monthly building inspections across the BMBC portfolio, ensuring all repairs and maintenance are reported and managed effectively in line with Health and Safety procedures, working collaboratively with Hard FM services and site managers.
Essential Qualifications & Requirements
- Speak English to an appropriate standard.
- Basic Criminal Record Check.
- Provide reasonable account of any significant periods (6 months or more in the past 3 years) of time spent living abroad.
- Prepared to start work with all necessary legal documents, such as a valid visa.
- Understand that Pensions Regulations may affect pension entitlements if you are receiving a pension when starting employment.
