Working arrangements: Agile – minimum 3 days in the office. Flexible working, including job share, may be considered, but must ensure continuity of support to service users.
Hours per week: 2 x 37
Contract type: Permanent Full‑time role. This post requires an Enhanced DBS Check. English to an appropriate standard is required. About The Post
We are looking for an Advanced Social Work Practitioner. You will work in partnership to achieve better outcomes for our most vulnerable children, and will be part of a team that values professional development.
Responsibilities
- Deliver the Social Work Academy offer in collaboration with the Practice Development Hub, supporting and mentoring newly qualified social workers through their Assessed and Supported Year in Employment.
- Work with the team manager to drive best practice and support learning and development within the team.
- Manage a reduced caseload.
- Support children and families and provide statutory children’s social work, including driving plans for vulnerable children within child protection and court arenas.
Qualifications
- Qualified social worker and registered with Social Work England.
- Self‑motivated and innovative in interventions with families.
- Experience working in statutory children’s social work and driving plans for vulnerable children within the child protection and court arena.
- Committed to supporting and developing teams and workers, including experience mentoring students or colleagues.
- Enhanced DBS Check required.
- English to an appropriate standard.
