Are you passionate about food and looking to start a career in the culinary industry? We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Apprentice Chef to join our busy kitchen team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.
Working alongside experienced chefs, you will learn all aspects of kitchen operations, food preparation, and food safety whilst developing the skills needed for a successful career as a chef.
Key Responsibilities
- Food Preparation: Chop vegetables, scale and portion meat, and measure ingredients before service.
- Station Support: Work under a Chef de Partie (section chef) to help plate and cook dishes during busy service hours.
- Kitchen Rotations: Move through different kitchen sections, such as pastry, sauce, and meat preparation, to gain broad culinary experience.
- Stock Management: Unpack deliveries, rotate stock, and check expiry dates to help minimise waste and maintain quality standards.
- Cleaning and Safety: Maintain a clean and organised workspace while following food hygiene, health and safety procedures at all times.
- A genuine passion for cooking and food preparation.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Commitment to completing the apprenticeship programme.

Entry Requirements
- No previous experience required, although an interest in catering and hospitality is beneficial.
- GCSEs in English and Maths are desirable but not essential.
