Childs Play Nursery in Penistone is looking to recruit a caring, enthusiastic Apprentice Early Years Educator (Level 3) to join our friendly and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about working with young children and beginning a rewarding career in Early Years.
Responsibilities
- Support the care, learning and development of children aged 0-5 years
- Assist with planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities
- Help create a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment
- Work positively as part of a team to meet children's individual needs
- Build warm, professional relationships with children, parents and colleagues
- Follow nursery policies, safeguarding procedures and health & safety guidelines
Hours of Work
30 hours per week, including time spent at college. Must be able to work between 7:30 am and 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday, on a rota basis.
Qualifications
- Must have a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner/childcare qualification
- A genuine interest in working with children
- Caring, reliable and enthusiastic with a positive attitude
- Willing to learn and work towards a Level 3 qualification
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to commit to college attendance and workplace learning
