This is a fantastic opportunity to play a vital role in transforming the experience of learners with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). As a SEND Case Reviewer, you’ll take the lead in coordinating, managing and delivering high quality annual and early EHCP reviews, ensuring each one is completed on time, with precision and genuine care. You’ll oversee the full review cycle — from tracking review dates to organising meetings and liaising with parents, carers, students and key external agencies.
Your ability to maintain momentum, manage schedules and communicate clearly will ensure a seamless, well coordinated process for every learner. A key part of your role will involve supporting the assessment of EHCP outcomes and helping to set new, meaningful goals that truly reflect each student’s needs and aspirations. You’ll produce detailed written reports that summarise discussions and outcomes, ensuring every voice is heard and accurately represented.
Your organisational skills will also shine through as you maintain accurate, up to date records, uphold compliance with SEND legislation and data protection, and support the ALS Spirals and Claims Administrator to achieve departmental objectives. You’ll also provide guidance to colleagues on SEND processes, reinforcing your position as a valued and knowledgeable point of contact.
Using MS Outlook to coordinate diaries, managing departmental files, and handling essential administrative tasks will all form part of this varied and rewarding role. Your proactive, optimistic and learner centred approach will help ensure the administrative side of SEND provision runs as smoothly and effectively as the support delivered to our learners. We’re looking for a motivated, detail focused professional who is committed to improving outcomes for learners with SEND. In this role, you’ll deliver high quality EHCP reviews and ensure every learner receives the tailored support they need to succeed. You’ll bring at least two years’ relevant experience, ideally in education, social services or a similar environment.
Strong administrative skills will help you manage meetings, deadlines and documentation efficiently. Confidence in working with families, carers and external partners will be essential, as will an understanding of SEND reforms and person centred planning approaches. You’ll be highly organised, able to prioritise your workload, and comfortable producing clear written reports. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Publisher is required. A Level 3 SEN qualification would be an advantage, alongside GCSE Maths and English or an equivalent Level 2 qualification.
Personally, you’ll be approachable, self motivated and resilient. Your strong work ethic and interpersonal skills will support positive collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders. A clear understanding of safeguarding, professional boundaries and appropriate conduct when working with vulnerable individuals is essential.
