Our Estates department is responsible for the upkeep of 17 buildings, primarily based in the town centre, with additional campuses located further afield. With a team of approximately 75 colleagues, including cleaning, maintenance, and office based staff, we work collaboratively to ensure our campuses are safe, functional, and welcoming at all times. This is a practical, hands-on role that involves reactive and planned preventative maintenance across a variety of buildings and equipment. You will benefit from flexible working hours, participation in an on call rota, and full support to carry out your role effectively, including transport and all necessary tools and equipment. You will also work closely with external contractors and partners to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Compliance and health and safety are key aspects of the role, with full training provided to support you in meeting all requirements. Responsibilities
- Carry out a wide range of reactive and planned preventative maintenance tasks across buildings and equipment.
- Work with external contractors and partners to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
- Assist with enquiries from external stakeholders from time to time.
- Be flexible and respond to urgent maintenance requirements when on the on-call rota.
- Maintain a proactive approach to safety and compliance, with full training provided.
Qualifications
- GCSE Maths and English (Level 2) or willingness to work towards.
- PMO, trade-specific, or equivalent qualification, or willingness to obtain.
- Minimum two years' experience in a maintenance role.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical work, and joinery.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
